So, almost all of Smash Time thus far has been uploaded to Newgrounds. Tomorrow I'll have the last comic uploaded and start uploading some of the various art for the series. The next comic will be up this weekend on http://stcomic.tumblr.com
Now, for the important matter. Prior to Episode 1 of Smash Time Animated, I made a small theme song for the series in WarioWare D.I.Y. for the DS, and while I like how it turned out, I can't get a good rip of the song off of my DS, and I'm not the best when it comes to music. So, I'm looking for someone who can make a SNES-style remix of the theme.
So, I'm sure you guys have been wondering what I've been up to for the past... I dunno, year? (Okay... if it's been that long, I doubt that it's been on anyone's mind). But regardless, now I am here to explain everything!
I've been working on Smash Time, my webcomic. As some of you may remember, this was going to be an animated series, but I quickly realized getting through this whole story in animated shorts, released months apart, wouldn't work well. So, I decided to make this a webcomic instead. It's at http://stcomic.tumblr.com , and I'm starting Chapter Two on Sunday. I've decided to bring it to Newgrounds too. I'll post a few comics a day until we're all caught up here.
...But the animated series isn't cancelled either! This morning, the first Smash Time Animated short, Lost Work, was released. Check it out on YouTube. Also, check out the series on Facebook and Twitter!
Alright, got some updates for upcoming animations.
I've finished storyboarding and scripting for the first episode of Smash Time. I'll be starting animation once I receive the audio from the voice actors. I'll upload some promo and concept art in the near future.
The 2nd Kayla the Klutz short, Apple Quest, is being animated now. I don't know when it will be finished, since I'm doing both a Flipnote version and a Flash version.
I've also got plans for a Sonic animation, as well as the Yoshi VS Compilation, but those will be exclusive to my YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/SmashXCartoons). I'm trying to limit my uploads here to being my own works, not those based on existing franchises.
Speaking of which, I updated Missed the Bus. It no longer uses copyrighted music.
Well hello there, I'm Dalton B. ...Or Smash, I suppose. That's what I generally go by online. I've had an account since 2009, but I haven't been ready to post any animations til now.
I've got a few things planned for now, as far as future animations go.
The second Kayla the Klutz short (tentatively titled Apple Quest) will be coming sometime in the near future. I've got all the storyboarding done as well as some animatics for it.
I'm also working on making Flash versions of these flipnote animations I made a while back where Yoshi "fought" against various enemies. Those will be put together into a single flash video. Dunno how many I'll put in yet. I've made 11 of these flipnotes so far, with a 12 one being animated right now. I'm thinking maybe 5 or 6 will be in the first flash. We'll see.
I've also been heavily considering starting a Flash cartoon series about 3 of the characters I use a lot in my comics: Kayla Flotsam (who is the star of the Kayla the Klutz cartoons), Pierre Sam, and Smash Black. I've wanted to do this for a long time, and I feel as though now is the time to get started on it. I've still got a lot of planning to do with that, and it may not even happen, but I'd love to start that project.
Other than that, I'll be working on more art, comics, and flipnote animations. You can find some of my other work on deviantArt (smashx5000.deviantart.com) . I might start submitting stuff to the art portal here too. We'll see, I guess.
